GeNotes – the exciting new resource to support clinicians in accessing genomic testing – has welcomed another new specialty to its growing collection. GeNotes Paediatrics has been developed in collaboration with clinical experts across the NHS and covers when, why and how to request genomic testing. Underpinning these In the Clinic scenarios is the Knowledge Hub, packed with bitesize resources on the fundamentals of genomics, conditions, therapies, technologies and more – perfect for busy clinicians who want to continue their learning. Join the #Genomics Conversation 2023

On 26-30 June 2023, the  #GenomicsConversation campaign will return, with a focus on how genomics can feel ‘hidden’ for many professionals and patients. The awareness-raising week will feature stories and activities to reveal how genomics is being used across the healthcare system and uncover the unexpected places it can appear. Perfect for educators or those new to genomics, this series of factsheets offers a handy introduction and  highlights key facts about genomics and health, centred around eight themes. Available to download or print, and centred around eight themes, the factsheets highlight key facts about genomics and health. They are designed to accompany our Genomics Game but can also be used in any educational setting.

Master’s level funding 23/24

The funding application process is now live for Master’s-level CPPD modules and qualifications in genomic medicine, which are delivered by our seven university partners across the country. Funding is available for individual modules, or up to four modules initially (to achieve a postgraduate certificate). Visit our webpage for details.

Course: Testing the genome in ophthalmology

Moorfields Education is hosting a one-day online course on 5 July 2023, providing an overview of genetics and genomics for inherited eye disease.
