Wouldn't it be good if signposting to genomics education and training, testing forms, key contacts within Clinical Genetics Services and Genomic Laboratory Hubs and patient support links were all in one place? We think so, which is why we made our 'Little Book of NHS Genomic Testing'. Find it on our website and request copies for yourself and colleagues: https://lnkd.in/eQj97hvX

Thanks to colleagues who supported an extremely busy recruitment event on site at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust yesterday. It was a thriving event with many people interested in a variety of roles. Also great to be able to direct attendees to other areas within the trust with so many stands under one roof. #jobs #careers #NHS

Congratulations to Georgina Corfield, Head of Technical Programme, at Cambridge Genomics Laboratory, who has received the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) Certificate of Competence by Equivalence. Through her academic qualifications, practise, experience and knowledge, she is now registered to practise as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC). This certificate promotes patient safety and demonstrates Gina’s commitment to maintaining standards of education, competence and conduct, providing assurance for patients and the public. This is a new route to accreditation, which Gina has navigated with support from training colleagues. She is the first member of NHS staff at CUH, and the first person working in genomics in the NHS, to attain this qualification via the equivalence route. It is a great achievement.
